HOME BASE: North Jersey and the shore

STYLE: Covers from yesteryear that run the gamut of requests and musical tastes – think Louis Armstrong to AC/DC. Professionally playful and self-deprecating, these two longtime friends and local scene staples are famous for nonstop sets that include sing-along classics, interactive surprises and always “new stuff” to set the mood for a beach party.

LINEUP: Bill Hadam and Andy Hladek, vocals and assorted strings, props and accessories. Musical instruments on hand include drums, guitars and mandolin, ukulele, bass, harmonica and synthesizer.

THEY SAY: “First rule is singing along is encouraged. The second rule is dancing is encouraged. The third rule – we take requests. And last, the more you drink, the better we sound,” Hladek said.

WE SAY: Come for the cowbell, stay for the conga line.
